Your Safety Is Our Promise: Dream Ranch’s Commitment to a Secure Celebration
At Dream Ranch, we believe that when you feel safe, you can truly celebrate. That’s why every wedding and event hosted on our property is supported by a comprehensive set of safety procedures. From medical preparedness to property protocols, our team works behind the scenes so you can stay fully present on one of the most important days of your life.
Here’s exactly how we keep you, your guests, and your vendors safe from start to finish:
1. Emergency Preparedness On-Site
- Trained Staff: All team members are trained in emergency procedures, including fire response, severe weather evacuation, and guest assistance.
- First Aid Kits: Fully stocked first aid kits are available in multiple areas on the property, including the main house and reception hall.
2. Fire Safety Measures
- Fire Extinguishers: Strategically placed throughout the venue, including in prep kitchens, vendor areas, and near open-flame setups.
- Open Flame Policies: All candles, sparklers, and fire pits must be approved by staff, with sand buckets and extinguishers required nearby at all times.
- Bonfire Protocols: If using the bonfire feature, it will be monitored and extinguished by our team. Guest use without supervision is not permitted.
3. Severe Weather Protocols
- Weather Monitoring: We keep an eye on local radar the week and day of your event. Severe weather alerts are shared with your coordinator. If outdoor ceremonies cannot happen due to weather there is always a backup available to hold the ceremony indoors.
- Shelter Plan: In case of sudden storms or tornado warnings, our on-site house and reception barn serve as sturdy, designated shelters.
- Backup Power: At The Dream Ranch venue located near McKinney,TX, the indoor hall is equipped with backup power sources for essential systems like lights and fans. And the onsite accommodation has the automated backup so if power is lost the generator kicks in.
4. Property and Guest Safety
- Evening Lighting: Our pathways, parking areas, and exits are well-lit for guest safety after sunset.
- Golf Cart Assistance: For elderly or mobility-limited guests, The Dream Ranch have tied up with a golf cart rental company where they will get the cart onto the property which can be used to go from one event space to another.
- Slips, Trips, and Falls Prevention: Our staff conducts a venue walk-through before every event to identify and eliminate hazards like loose cords, wet floors, or uneven walkways.
- Child Safety: We recommend assigning a designated adult to monitor children near water features, gates, or uneven terrain.
5. Vendor + Setup Safety
- Vendor Walkthroughs: We require outside vendors to do a walkthrough before the event to review setup protocols, electrical safety, and access points. If the vendor is on our preferred vendors list they are already familiar with the space so its less coordination effort if the client chooses the venue preferred vendor..

- Load-in and Load-out Timing: Vendors are scheduled to avoid guest traffic and to minimize crowding during setup and teardown. There is a separate entrance on the venue sideway which will allow vendors to start the setups without any interruption.
6. Parking & Transportation Oversight
- Traffic Control: Our team directs traffic during peak arrival and departure times to avoid congestion and ensure pedestrian safety.
- Overflow Parking Management: We have designated overflow areas with marked paths and lighting to keep guests from wandering into unsafe areas.
7. Health Consciousness (As Needed)
- Sanitation Stations: Hand sanitizing stations are set up at entrance and bathrooms.
- Flexible Setup Options: At The Dream Ranch layout modifications are allowed for clients until 10 days prior to the event who prefer increased spacing between tables or ceremony seating. During pandemic times this will help make sure of guest safety.
Dream Ranch isn’t just about breathtaking views and rustic charm—it’s about creating a space where people feel protected, supported, and cared for. We take safety seriously because your peace of mind matters. When you walk down the aisle or toast forever, you shouldn’t be thinking about “what ifs.”
We’ll take care of the details so you can focus on joy.
