Top 10 Places to Buy a Wedding Ring in (and Around) Dallas

Posted By Sri Avirneni On 2025-10-08

As a venue owner in the Dallas area, I see couples up close in the months before their weddings, often helping coordinate details. One recurring question I get is: “Where should we go locally to buy our wedding or engagement rings?” Over the years I’ve visited many local shops (and vetted online vendors used by couples here). Below are my top 10 recommendations—each with a bit of what makes them stand out, and tips to get the most value.

1. Shapiro Diamonds (Dallas / North Dallas)

Why it’s a favorite: This is a bespoke, owner-led jeweler with deep local roots. They focus heavily on custom design—meaning you’re not just picking from a catalog, but creating something meaningful.

Tip: Book a private consultation rather than just walking in. Take photos of ring styles you like so the designer can preview ideas with you.

2. Diamonds Direct (Preston Road, Dallas)

Why it’s a strong option: As a larger showroom with wide selection, they offer many styles under one roof. The Knot highlights their lifetime warranty and upgrade policies as perks.

Tip: Ask specifically about their warranty, cleaning, tightening, and diamond upgrade terms—some “extras” that seem standard may cost extra.

3. Eiseman Jewels

Why it’s noteworthy: Family-owned, with longstanding reputation in the Dallas area. They carry many designer lines and also accommodate custom requests.

Tip: Use your in-store visit to check how different metals (white gold, platinum, rose gold) look under your venue lighting (especially if your ceremony has warm light or sunset lighting).

4. Lyles DeGrazier Jewelers

Why it’s dependable: Local, trusted, with decades in business. They often have a “ring builder” app and are welcoming to couples who want to design or personalize.

Tip: Negotiate on services—resizing, cleaning, or inspections—included over the years, especially when doing custom work.

5. Diamond & Gold Warehouse

Why it’s interesting: They operate both locally and online, and advertise a large selection of diamond engagement rings.

Tip: If ordering from them online, ensure you see certification (GIA / AGS / IGI) and verify return policies before committing.

6. Mariloff Diamonds

What makes them good: Known as a wholesale diamond source in Dallas. They bridge between retail clients and diamond markets.

Tip: Because they operate more wholesale, you may find better diamond value here—but you’ll want to make sure finishing, setting, and aftercare are solid.

7. Bova Diamonds

Why it’s worthy: They promote VIP diamond experiences and wholesale pricing for local buyers in Dallas.

Tip: Look into whether they allow “diamond viewing” sessions (loose stones on display) so you can inspect the stone before it’s mounted.

8. Diamond Factory Dallas

Why it’s solid: A dedicated diamond shop locally, offering engagement rings, loose diamonds, wedding bands.

Tip: Bring in a ring you already like (or photos). Good jewelers often compare or match settings or stones from pieces you admire.

9. Custom / Artisan Designers (E.g. Staghead Designs)

Why include them: If you want something unique—non-traditional gemstones, alternative materials, or deeply personal elements—these boutique designers are ideal. The Knot specifically mentions one such Dallas artisan for couples wanting something off the beaten path.

Tip: Ask about timelines early. Custom work often takes weeks (sometimes months). Also, request sketches and prototypes before finalizing.

10. Trusted Etsy / Lab-grown Vendors Based in or Serving Dallas

Why this is useful: Some Dallas couples choose lab-grown stones, moissanite, or direct online artisans who are local or ship reliably to North Texas. For example, Gleammery is a Dallas-based Etsy shop specializing in lab-grown and moissanite jewelry.

Another local option is DiamondAndGoldJewels (Dallas based) offering custom bridal jewelry.

Tip: When purchasing online, especially custom rings, insist on full certification, proof photos or videos, and a solid return / resizing policy.

Advice from a Venue Owner (Dallas-Specific)

  • Test under real wedding lighting. Your ring will appear under ceremony lighting, sunset, or reception lighting. If possible, bring your ring to your venue ahead of time or test how it looks under warm / low light.
  • Build in buffer time. Because custom and artisan shops often have lead times, aim to have your final ring at least 2–3 months before the wedding.
  • Negotiate service inclusions. Ask that resizing, cleaning, or inspection visits be included in your purchase, especially if you’re doing custom work locally.
  • Document everything. Keep all receipts, certifications, appraisal, warranty documents in a safe place.
  • Insurance & appraisal. Once you have the ring, get an independent appraisal so you can insure it properly.
  • Collaborate with your photographer. Ask your photographer in advance—some rings with high glare or milgrain settings photograph poorly. You can show them candidate rings ahead of time for feedback.

We’re on a mission to celebrate and support locally owned wedding venues—and we need your help! Want to make a real impact? It’s as easy as leaving a thoughtful Google review, following them on social media, or recommending them to friends and family.
